Bryan lives in Madison, Mississippi with his wife Cecilia and their two-year old son Landon. He has been a long-time member of the Mississippi Track Club since the 1990s and is also a recent member of the New Orleans Track Club as well. He started his running career in the mid-1980s at Warren Central High School in Vicksburg, Mississippi where he was a Team Captain and member of the Cross Country and Track teams. He is a past winner of the Mississippi Track Club Male Runner of the Year award and has averaged 50+ races per year since 2008 while also volunteering at over 25 races per year.
Bryan has been a Committee Chairman for the Mississippi Blues Marathon and Half-marathon since its inaugural year of 2008 and coordinates and facilitates the handling of the elite athletes for the event.
Bryan has worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Mississippi since 1991 and currently serves as the Vice President of Sales. He is a long-time supporter and past coach and participant for the Leukemia Society of America Team-in-Training program. He has also served multiple Mississippi State University alumni support groups in the capacity of President, Co-founder, Treasurer and Social Chairman. Bryan looks forward to building off of the enthusiasm of the Mississippi Blues Marathon as well as the Let’s Go Walkin’ Mississippi program to encourage and promote healthier lifestyles through walking and exercise across Mississippi.
