New York State Rep. - Mickie Sanders-Jauquet
Mickie Sanders-Jauquet is the President of the Finger Lakes Runners Club and the race director for the Tortoise & Hare 10K+ trail run. She also sits on the racing committees for two of the Club’s marquee races.
Mickie began running at the age of 40 when someone told her she couldn’t run a marathon. She went from the couch to a marathon that first year and in 6 years has completed 14 marathons, 17 half marathons and 1 ultra; accomplishing 10 Boston Qualifier times. When she is not running, volunteering, or recruiting volunteers, she can be found on family bike tours.
Mickie serves as President of the Board for the Tompkins County Public Library Foundation. She sits on several committees dealing with fundraising and grant making opportunities. She is currently working in foundations and nonprofits to create greater impact within programs serving the local communities. She, her husband, two children and favorite running companion, her dog, Luna live in Ithaca, New York.
