Upper New York State Rep. - Jane Constantine
Jane Constantine has been involved in running for many years, starting out as a volunteer. In 2002, she walked a half marathon to benefit the American Stroke Association. It took another six years before she starting running on a regular basis, but since then she has run 5ks, 10ks, a 15k and a half marathon. Jane is very involved with the Fulmont (NY) Roadunners Club, serving as treasurer, secretary and volunteer coordinator. She has also served as local chairman for the Relay for Life benefiting the American Cancer Society and is a member of the Ladies of Charity group, which helps members of the community throughout the year. Jane works for KCS Land Research Corp. as a title searcher. She trains in and around Amsterdam, New York.
Lower New York State Rep. - Nicoletta Nerangis
Nicoletta began running cross country and track in her native Batavia, New York as a youth, and has been running ever since. She has completed numerous marathons, including the New York City and Boston Marathon, as well as half marathons, 5K’s, and 10K races. She ran the 2012 NYC Half and 2013 New York City Marathon for Team for Kids, a New York Road Runners charity that helps to fund youth running programs.
Nicoletta previously coached the NYRR’s Young Runners and Mighty Milers programs at her son’s elementary school, PS 321 in Brooklyn for three years,energizing hundreds of youth to run throughout the NYC Metro area.
Nicoletta’s background as a Licensed Masters Social Worker, opera singer, teacher, and as a runner has encouraged her to create a unique youth running club. In September 2013, Nicoletta with the inspiration of her son and youth runners, founded and coaches Run4Fun Youth Running Club in Brooklyn, New York, where she has lived for over 20 years. She created Run4Fun to provide an environment for youth runners to foster friendships, promote self-esteem and instill a love of running. Nicoletta looks forward to introducing the Run4Fun family running program, inspiring parents to run with their youth runners.
Nicoletta loves to train in the New York area, and also in Greece during the summer, and whenever she can has been honored to sing the National Anthem before races, including the 2013 Brooklyn Half Marathon.
