North Texas State Representative - Kathryn Alvarez Gleghorn

Kathryn is a native Texan who grew up in southern Michigan, but is happy to be back in Texas.  She has been with Lake Grapevine Runners and Walkers since 2006 and has served on their board as a director, secretary and is currently serving as president.  A runner since the 6th grade, Kathryn has been running consistently for the past 35 years and has raced all distances up through the marathon.  She also enjoys walking and was the race director for her club’s Weight Watchers Walk-!t Day 5K in 2011, as well as completed the 2008 3-Day Breast Cancer walk and walk/ran a marathon with a high school friend in 2008. She has also served on three RRCA National Awards committees and has been an associate editor of their RRCA award winning club newsletter, “Footprint” for the last few years.

South Texas State Representative - Lee Greb

Lee is a member of the Houston Striders Running Club and the Houston Area Road Runners Association (HARRA) since 2001. The past four years he has served on the Board of Directors of the Houston Striders. He has also served as a coach in the HARRA Sponsored Power in Motion (PIM) adult running clinic and currently is a coach in the Houston Strider Marathon Training Program (SMART). A native Houstonian, Lee graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and is an employee of Toshiba International Corp- Industrial Division for the past 33 years. He started running in 1997 and ran his first marathon in January 2000 and has completed 46 marathon or greater distance races (including ten 50K trail runs) since then. He got his RRCA Coaching Certification in 2006 and gets his coaching CEC’s along with a lot of practical running knowledge and experience at each and every one of the RRCA Conventions that he has attended.
