Washington State Representative - Scott Krell
Krell started running in 1985 after graduating from college with an engineering degree. He ran his first marathon in 1987 at Portland and never looked back. Scott is a senior consumer resesarch analyst for Philips Sonicare. He has completed 120 marathons/ultra-marathons and logged at least 2,000 miles a year since 1985, save for 1987. He is President/Race Director of NWULTRAS. His first race director job was the White River 50 Mile Trail Run in 1998 when then RD Chris Ralph was not able to continue due to health reasons. Krell has directed the Seattle and Birch Bay Ghost Marathons over the past five years. In 2007 Krell and Michael Cartwright started the 20th Century 100K run. Krell is also a member of the Marathon Maniacs group.
