Support the RRCA with Your Donation
The RRCA would like to thank our donors for their generous support throughout the years. Donations help the organization promote and support our grassroots promotional efforts throughout the United States. Income from membership dues only covers a portion of the revenue needed to support the mission of the RRCA. It is the generous support from our members, individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations that enable us to develop, improve, and implement valuable programs that benefit the running community as a whole.
The Road Runners Club of America is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization and donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Give online today through our secure PayPal payment buttons or checks may be mailed to Road Runners Club of America: 1501 Lee Highway, Ste 140, Arlington, VA 22209. Note one of our various funds outlined below in the memo line if you are making a restricted contribution. If nothing is noted, all contributions will be attributed to the unrestricted grassroots supporters fund. All donors to the organization will be acknowledged at the end of the calendar year on the RRCA website and in our annual report. Kids Run The Nation Fund
In 2007, the RRCA established the Kids Run the Nation Fund through a generous contribution from David and Sharlee Cotter in memory of Ms Cotter’s parents, Hank and Nancy Tyler. The purpose of the Fund is to raise money and award small grants ranging from $300 - $1000 to nonprofit running clubs, public schools, and youth oriented nonprofit groups that host organized youth running programs to encourage children to lead a healthy life through running. Donors to the Fund include individual donors, running clubs, events, and corporate supporters. All contributions made to the KRN Fund are restricted to the Fund. 100% of the contributions received are granted to youth running programs, and no portion of KRN contributions are used for fundraising and administrative purposes.
Roads Scholar Fund
Since 1996, the RRCA has awarded grants through the Roads Scholar program. The goal of this program is to assist American post collegiate distance runners who show great promise to develop into national and world-class road running athletes. 100% of the contributions received for the Roads Scholar Fund are restricted to the program, no portion of the contributions are used for fundraising or administrative expenses.
State Reps Fund
RRCA State Representatives are the ambassadors of the organization in their community and most importantly, RRCA State Reps are all volunteers. They promote our programs and services, supporting member clubs and events, and recruiting unaffiliated clubs, events, corporate supporters and individual members. The State Reps only receive a small $100 stipend as reimbursement for their expenses in promoting RRCA programs. 100% of the State Rep fund contributions are used for the State Rep program. No portion of the contributions are used for fundraising or administrative expenses.
