Donate to RRCA Programs

Income from membership dues only covers a portion of the revenue needed to support the mission of the RRCA. It is the generous support from our members, individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations that enable us to develop, improve, and implement valuable programs that benefit the running community.  Individuals, clubs, events, foundations, and corporate supporters are encouraged to donate to the mission of the RRCA by mailing a check to: 1501 Lee Hyw, Ste 140, Arlington, VA 2009, or give through the online giving options below.

The RRCA is proud to be a BBB Wise Giving Alliance Accredited Charity and a Gold-Level Guidestar Exchange Partner.

Annual Program Fund

Unrestricted contributions to the RRCA are applied to the Annual Program Fund to help finance the costs for the Kids Run the Nation program materials, Runner Friendly Community program, RUN@WORK and RUN@School Day promotional efforts, RRCA National Running Awards Ceremony including award winner travel stipends, the RRCA Championship Events Series, and much more.  Please support the RRCA through an annual contribution to the Program Fund.

Kids Run The Nation Fund

Visit Easy Fundraising Ideas

In 2007, through a generous gift from David and Sharlee Cotter in memory of Hank and Nancy Taylor, the RRCA developed the Kids Run the Nation Fund to assists running clubs, events, and schools interested in implementing or currently hosting youth running programs. This small grant program is funded by restricted contributions from members, individuals, foundations, and corporations.  100% of the money donated is restricted to this grant fund and no portion of contributions to the Kids Run the Nation Fund are used to cover administrative expenses.  The RRCA’s goal is to raise and grant over $20,000+ annually to youth programs around the country.  The demand for small grants to establish youth running programs is great.  Your contribution of $500 or more provides a grant to a deserving youth program.

Roads Scholar Fund

Visit Easy Fundraising Ideas

Since 1996, the RRCA has awarded grants totaling over $450,000 (as of 2013) through the Roads Scholar® program. The goal of the program is to assist American post collegiate runners who show great promise to develop into national and world-class road running athletes.  The grants awarded by the RRCA go directly to the athletes to help support their goals of becoming world-class distance runners.  The program is directed towards runners who are US citizens, have graduated from college, plan to pursue elite distance running as a career, and expect to earn less than $30,000 from all sources during the calendar year.  The RRCA’s goal is to provide four to six $5,000 grants per year to deserving athletes.  Since the programs inception, the RRCA has funded 84 elite athletes.

State Reps Fund

RRCA State Representatives are the volunteer ambassadors of the organization in their communities. They promote RRCA programs and services, support member clubs and events, and recruit unaffiliated clubs, events, corporate supporters and individual members. 100% of the State Rep fund contributions are used for the State Rep program.  Your contribution helps your State Rep attend the RRCA Convention, provides supplies and materials to help them promote the RRCA locally, and much more.
