THIS INCLUDES 50K AND 50M OVERALL WINNERS IN BOTH THE OPEN AND MASTERS CATEGORIES (50K and 50M division winners and finishers can pick up their awards at Spooner Lake State Park on Saturday). We'll once again provide special division awards unique to the TRT 50K/50M/100M event. One hundred mile finishers will receive a hand-made, unique finisher buckle that represents the Great State of Nevada and it's only 100-Mile Endurance Run. Actually, there are three buckles; sub-24 hour, sub-30 hour and sub-35 hour. The sub-24 hour is a nickel buckle with a gold plated silver medallion inset in the buckle (both sides will be visible). On one side will be the Tahoe Rim Trail "trail shoe" logo and the other side will be the Seal of the Great State of Nevada. The sub-30 hour buckle is the same but the medallion will be silver. The sub-35 hour buckle is bronze with the silver medallion.
  • Course Description:
    • The 50K course has been described as a "bent over stick figure" (you'll probably have to take a look at the course map to fully understand). The 50-mile and 100-mile events follow the same course with the addition of a challenging 9-mile out and back (18 mile total) starting around mile 17. All courses are on predominately single track trail but each have approximately 10 miles on dirt roads. The 100-mile course is a double loop of the 50-mile course. The start/finish at Spooner Lake State Park is at 7000 feet. The low point in the event is at the bottom of the Red House Loop at approximately 6800 feet. The highest point in the course is 9,000 feet, just north of the Snow Valley Peak Aid Station. The elevation of Snow Valley Peak is 9214 feet.
  • Location, Facilities:
    • No event parking will be allowed within the Spooner Lake State Park because it is extremely limited and the park is still open for general visitors. We are providing ample FREE satellite parking nearby at Spooner Junction approximately 1/2-mile from the park. Shuttle vans will be available before and after the race to transport participants, family and friends to and from the event site. Participants are encouraged to arrive early to allow for the extra time needed to shuttle to the event site. We'll provide secure bag storage at the start/finish area. There will be two 47-passenger coaches available to transport participants from the host hotel in Carson City to the event start on race day. Both coaches will have two departing time, TBA. Shuttle vans will be available post-event to transport runners back to the host hotel.
