We are excited to host the 66th RRCA Convention in Costa Mesa, California, between May 2 – 5, 2024 in conjunction with the SDCCU OC Marathon and Half.

Join hundreds of club leaders, race directors, prospective and current RRCA Certified Coaches, sponsors, and industry leaders at this fun-filled, and educational conference for the running community.

Convention App

The RRCA Convention App is the best way to stay up-to-date with the detailed schedule, education program outline, speaker bios, sponsors and much more.   Detailed meeting room locations are outlined in App for all sessions.

The Convention App will be available starting February 1, 2024.  Registered attendees will receive a code around February 1st for accessing the app.

We have a schedule that allows people to complete the RRCA Coaching Level I Certification Course while participating in many activities at the RRCA Convention, especially the social networking events.

Registration fee for this special coaching ​cohort is only $475. 

Anyone registering for this coaching course must attend ALL five Coaching Certification ​sessions built into the RRCA Convention schedule. Failure to attend a cohort session will result in not being able to take the final examination.

Coaching Level I Certification Cohort schedule:

  • Session I – Thursday, May 2 – 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (lunch provided)
  • Session II – Friday, May 3 – 9 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Session III – Friday, May 3 – 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
  • Session IV – Saturday, May 4- 8 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Session V – Saturday, May 4 – 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Registration  includes:

  • Thursday Welcome Reception
  • Friday and Saturday morning group runs
  • Friday & Saturday Luncheons
  • Saturday Closing Reception and Silent Auction

The Level II Coaching Certification program is open to all RRCA Level I Certified Coaches in good standing who have been certified for a minimum of one year. The Level II program is designed for coaches seeking to enhance their knowledge or reinforce concepts learned in Level I​.

The RRCA will host a Coaching Level II In-Person session as part of the Convention. We have developed a schedule that will allow you to complete this Coaching Level II Certification requirement while participating in several activities at the RRCA Convention, especially the social networking events.

The registration fee for the Coaching Level II In-Person session is only $475. Anyone registering for this session must attend ALL five Coaching Level II ​sessions built into the RRCA Convention schedule. Failure to attend all sessions will result in not being able to include this requirement towards Level II.

Registration includes the 3 days needed to meet the session requirements, the vendor expo, and other Convention activities and meals. Coaching Level II In-Person participants will receive multiple pre-course emails from instructors with updates and information.

Coaching Level II In-Person Session schedule:
  • Session I – Thursday, May 2 – 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (lunch provided)
  • Session II – Friday, May 3 – 9 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Session III – Friday, May 3 – 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
  • Session IV – Saturday, May 4 – 8 AM – 12:00
  • PM Session V – Saturday, May 4 – 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
