For Event Directors
It is the goal of the RRCA to promote safe event management by all of our members.
The RRCA supports races hosted by RRCA running clubs, annual races that are organized as a nonprofit organization for charitable purposes, or races that are put on by professional race directors through race directing companies. There is a large variety of races hosted around the country, and the business model utilized to conduct these races varies as well. The RRCA does not dictate the business model utilized to conduct a race, nor do we provide race management services, but we do provide guidelines for conducting an event in a safe manner.
The RRCA can provide services and benefits to race directors that volunteer to host events on behalf of their club, for race directors that host events to raise money for charities, or for race directors looking to earn a living through race management.
The RRCA State Representatives are a great resource for race directors. RRCA State Representatives can help answer questions or connect race directors within their home states and around the country. Race directors are encouraged to work closely with their RRCA State Representatives to help promote running throughout their home state.
