RRCA Seeks Membership Coordinator

The RRCA is in the process of transitioning staff positions. William Dyson will be moving home to Texas to pursue opportunities closer to family. He will continue to work on special projects for the RRCA over the coming months and he will also continue to assist us with our social media. Jessica Benney will transition to become the program coordinator for the RRCA between now and August. As a result, the RRCA is a seeking a membership coordinator to work in the RRCA national office. The Membership Coordinator is responsible for responding to all general membership and insurance inquiries from running clubs and running events. The position coordinates the day-to-day interface with RRCA members (clubs, events, individuals, coaches, and corporate supporters). This includes prompt and courteous response to inquiries via phone or email on questions pertaining to membership, insurance, club related issues, and more.This position counsels prospective members on proper membership classification, fees, insurance coverage, and benefits in order to convert prospects into new members. The membership coordinator counsels new members on how to correctly form a nonprofit organization and other membership issues that need special attention. The position is responsible for maintaining the nonprofit group list with the IRS and maintaining records for all members in the group by reviewing, scanning and filing bylaws for all new members to the nonprofit group. The position manages all aspects of the annual renewal process including reviewing applications for accuracy, following-up with late payments, maintaining the online database, roster submission and initiating renewal notices. The position also works with corporate members, associate members and certified coaches by maintaining their listing the membership database. The position will assist with fundraising efforts as needed along with other duties assigned by the executive director. Qualifications include: Bachelor"�s degree in a related field 1+ year of work experience following completion of bachelor's degree (work experience during college may be considered) Outstanding verbal and written communication skills A team player and self starter with a positive attitude, patience, and a strong customer service ethic Must be able to get along well with others and take direction from superiors and co-workers Experience in a nonprofit and/or member-based organization, and knowledge of membership database management a plus Willingness and ability to work in a small office where everyone is expected to be self sufficient with limited supervision A passion for the sport of running - collegiate experience in running is a big plus How to apply Interested applicants should email a cover letter and resume to execdir@rrca.org.
