Jan 28 2000 Hour Outstanding Volunteer Logo Winner
Arlington, VA - The Road Runners Club of America is pleased to announce the winner of the 2000 Hour Outstanding Volunteer logo contest. David Ball's design was selected from numerous designs submitted. The logo will be used to create new 2000 Hour Outstanding Volunteer patches that are awarded each year to dedicated individuals that serve our sport. For more information about the 2000 Hour Outstanding Volunteer program visit http://www.rrca.org/services/awards/. Club leaders are encouraged to submit the names of volunteers that dedicate 2000 or more hours of service over the years to their local running club so these individuals can be honored at the national level.David Ball is a freelance art director and graphic designer in the Dallas/Fort Worth area specializing in sports and health advertising, logos and graphics. A devout couch potato in his late 30’s, he literally fell into running after suffering a serious broken leg. While in rehab, he discovered an ability to run. To date, he’s run over 20 marathons (3 Bostons) and 2 ultras. Now a converted physical fitness enthusiast, David donates much of his time and talent to promote fitness and health for all ages.
