RRCA Seeking Items for Live & Silent Auction

LIVE AUCTION
The annual RRCA Live Auction presented by Road Race Management with Jeff Darman and Don Kardong is designed to raise funds for RRCA programs including the Roads Scholar Program. The auction will be held during the reception for the RRCA Annual Banquet in San Francisco on Saturday, March 28, 2009. The Live Auction is a fun opportunity for clubs or individuals to contribute to the RRCA while bidding for sought after items. Many of the items offer “one of a kind” opportunities for your race, club or special volunteers.

We look forward to seeing you at the RRCA Live Auction with your club/event or personal checkbook or credit card in hand to bid on these items. The RRCA will use funds generated at the auction to support the $30,000 fundraising goal for the Roads Scholar Program.

To contribute items over $100 in value for the Live Auction, contact Jeff Darman at .

SILENT AUCTION
The Silent Auction in support of the RRCA State Reps Program provides a great opportunity to showcase your event or product to hundreds of individuals from across the country who are dedicated to the sport of running. All proceeds from the auction will go to support the RRCA State Representative program. The auction will be held throughout the RRCA Convention and will conclude on March 28, 2009 at the Annual Banquet.

We are asking our running clubs, event members and sponsors to join us in this effort by soliciting donations from your club members and sponsors, as well as local businesses and organizations in your states. Items can be representative of your state, a special event in your state (race entries for events that sell out are always very popular), or can be as generic as running gear, books, memorabilia, etc. As donations are received, we will have them posted on the convention website. Convention attendees can preview the list to decide ahead of time what they would like to bid on.

For more information on donating items for the silent auction, download the donor form at http://www.rrca.org/services/convention/silentauction.doc.

Payment for all auction items will be due at the close of the auction. We accept cash, check, Visa, MC, and AMEX.

For additional information, please contact Joan Davis, RRCA HI State Rep by email at .
