51st RRCA Convention Kick's Off This Week

San Francisco, CA – The 51st Annual RRCA Convention kicks on March 26th with a reception at the South End Rowing Club where San Francisco running was born.

The RRCA Convention will feature several exciting announcements including a presentation of the RRCA Strategic Plan at the Annual Meeting of the Membership along with new programs and member benefits that will be introduced.

Keynote speakers for the event include former Olympian Frank Shorter, “Ultramarathon Man” Dean Karnazes, and Marshall Ulrich, the only athlete to complete the Triple Crown of Extreme Sports.

In addition to a robust schedule of educational seminars, guests can enjoy evening runs along the Embarcadero, nighttime receptions at nearby locales, and the annual RRCA Awards Banquet, which is nearly sold out.

On Sunday, the RRCA challenges guests to enter the Presidio 10, a hilly 10-mile or 10k course that takes runners from the Golden Gate Bridge through the Presidio and serves as the RRCA National 10K Championship.

Registration for the full convention includes admission to all seminars, the expo, the RRCA National Awards Reception and Banquet as well as fun runs and breakfast. To register and for more information, including a complete schedule of events, please visit http://www.rrcaconvention.org.
