Sep 10 RRCA National Office to Host Run@Work Day eventPlease join the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) for a mid-day “progressive” group run in honor of the 4th Annual Run@Work Day on Friday, September 18th. Eve Mills, director of program services, RRCA Certified Running Coach and race director for the Montgomery County Girls on the Run, and Mike Broderick, founder of the Experienced Marathon Program of the Montgomery County Road Runners Club, RRCA Certified Running Coach Instructor and founder of Running Strong Coaching, will lead this lunchtime run, starting and finishing at the RRCA National Office in Arlington, Va. The group will meet at the RRCA National office and depart at 11:30 A.M. en route to Fleet Feet DC in Adams Morgan, then continue on to Pacers Running Store in Arlington and then to Potomac River Running in Arlington before heading back to the RRCA National Office. The run, which covers approximately 10 miles in total, is open to all interested runners. RRCA members across the country will organize community based events encouraging people to incorporate at least thirty-five minutes of exercise into their daily lives. Incorporating thirty-five minutes of exercise can markedly improve one’s overall physical health and can help alleviate health related medical costs associated with overweight and obesity.
