Challenge yourself just a little with a run through the autumn beauty of Moraine Hills State Park. Set about 50 miles northwest of Chicago in McHenry, Illinois, this fundraiser event promises rolling hills, spectacular scenery, and groomed 50/50 asphalt and crushed limestone trails. Five water/gatorade stations for the 10K, and seven for the Half Marathon. Finish water, post-race nutrition, a goodie bag and a long sleeved cotton shirt for everyone. Finisher medals plus 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awarded for overall and age groupers. Sponsored by The Friends of Moraine Hills State Park, all proceeds benefit the educational programs and visitor services at the park.
