Event was established to combat Childhood obesity where the proceeds go to a local youth organization and charter school that promote healthy eating and exercise among the youth. The event namesake comes from historic land marks in Southwest Baltimore on the course, Hollins Market, B&O Railroad Museum, Mount Clare Mansion, Union Square Park, and Mencken House (legendary Baltimore Sun columnist).
