The Forsyth Area Striders Team (FAST) will join national forces with the Prostate Conditions Education Council to present the Georgia Urology FAST PACE RACE (5K and 10K) at the Cumming fairgrounds on October 20, 2012. Both the 10K and 5k course is a USATF certified Peachtree Road Race qualifiers and will be fast due to their elevation drop. Award categories include overall male, female, masters and individual 5-year age groups. All runners will receive a short sleeve technical shirt. Race events will include keynote speaker Craig Virgin, special recognition of prostate cancer survivors and caregivers, free PSA blood screenings and free exams by Georgia Urology with other screenings by Emory Johns Creek Hospital. Event includes information booths, entertainment and giveaways. Proceeds from the race will be used to support prostate cancer awareness and education.
