On the 21st of December of 2012 the Mayan Calendar comes to an end and many think that the world will also come to an end at this time. Outer Banks Runcations just has one question….where will you be?
Outer Banks Runcations is excited to announce its newest races, the “Doomsday” 5k on December 21st, 2012 at 6pm and the “I Survived the End of the World” 5k on December 22, 2012 at 8am. Race in one or risk it and sign up for both as a package. Both races will be out and back courses on the Multi-use Path in South Nags Head and promise to be a challenging yet fun time for everyone. Post-Race food and beverage refreshments and some cool swag will be available for all the runners.
With the end of the world coming we can’t think of anything better then grabbing some friends and going for a run.
Event Details:
“Doomsday” or “I Survived” entry fee is $25 or be confident that we will all be here the day after and purchase entry for both at a discounted $40.
Race Start/Finish at Jennette’s Pier 7223 S. Virginia Dare Trail, Nags Head, NC 27949
Packet Pick-up: Thursday, December 20th, 4pm-7pm at Jennette’s Pier. Located at Milepost 16 on the Beach Rd
Field Limit: Open
$25 Race Fee includes event t-shirt, post race party, and finisher medal.
Custom Trophies to the top male and female and Unique Medals to the first 125 finishers.
If spots are still available, race day registration will be available and again at Packet Pick-up Friday, December 20th, 4-7pm.
On-Site Registration opens at 4:30pm December 21st and 6:45am December 22nd.
This is a walker, stroller and family friendly event.
If the world actually does come to an end there are no refunds or transfers on this event.
(You must register online by December 13th to be guaranteed a t-shirt for either event)
