Event Information

The Union Hospital “Run for Home” is a community event to benefit the Tuscarawas Valley Habitat for Humanity and promote a healthy lifestyle. Run for Home events include a half-marathon, three-person team relay, five-mile walk, one-mile fun run, and a short kids’ run for children six and under. In 2012, more than 1,300 people participated in Run for Home events. All activities are headquartered at beautiful Tuscora Park in New Philadelphia. The half-marathon is part of the Ohio Subway Challenge Series and the Allied Machine and Engineering Tuscarawas Valley Challenge. All participants in the half-marathon and team relay receive high-quality wicking shirts. Finishers in both events receive oustanding custom-made finishers medals. The Run for Home also includes a health and fitness fair and pasta dinner race weekend.
