Event Information
The City of Douglasville Moonlight Run is the largest after-dark 5K and one mile run in the Southeast, with approximately 2,000 participants running through downtown Douglasville. The race features a USATF certified course and is part of the Run and See Georgia Grand Prix Series. Throughout the event, there is fun and entertainment for the entire family including jumping gyms and prizes. Participants receive a unique race t-shirt.
For your safety and the safety of others, strollers, roller blades, skateboards, animals and headphones are not allowed on the course. Participants with these devices or pets will be disqualified and removed from the course.
REGISTRATION:
5K $25.00 (After Oct. 5, $30);
Open 1-Mile $15.00 (after Oct. 5, $20);
Tot Trot (5 and under) $10.00 (after October 5, $15.00);
Race Day Registration 5K - $35.00, Open 1-Mile - $25.00, Tot Trot $20.00. Race Day registrants not guaranteed a t-shirt.
Please note: entries received after Oct. 5th cannot be guaranteed a t-shirt.
AWARDS/AGE GROUPS:
5K Run:
Top 3 Overall male/female and Top 3 Masters male/female;
Top 3 males and females in fifteen age groups from 10 and under through 75+;
5K Awards ceremony begins at 9:00 p.m. in the Conference Center. Awards will not be mailed.
PRIZES:
This year’s race will feature several random prize drawings for participants. We'll give out over $2,500 worth of prizes to pre-registered participants.
PACKET PICK-UP:
Race packets may be picked up the day of the race. Packet pick-up will be located at the Douglasville Conference Center beginning at 3:00 PM and closing at 7:00 PM.
RACE DAY REGISTRATION:
Race day registration is only available from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Douglasville Conference Center. A limited quantity of t-shirts will be available to race day registrants on a first come-first served basis.
PROCEEDS BENEFITING:
DC Boys & Girls Club;
Arbor Station Elementary Track Program;
HEALTH FAIR:
A health fair will be held at the Douglasville Conference Center in conjunction with the race from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday, October 20. The fair will feature booths with local health-related organizations.
DIRECTIONS:
From Atlanta: Take I-20 West to exit 37. Turn right and continue to Church St. Turn left on Church St. to the Douglasville Conference Center.
From Alabama: Take I-20 East to exit 37. Turn left and continue to Church St. Turn left on Church St. to the Douglasville Conference Center.
