Outer Banks Running Club
How would you like to run the same land where The Lost Colony once roamed? This is a 5K cross-country course which traverses through the same spot which Chief Manteo and Chief Wanchese once inhabited. How will you fare? The Fun Run is approximately .8 miles. The first 25 kids to register will receive a prize upon finishing.

Registration: Online registration will close Wednesday October 2, 2013 at 9:00am. On-site registration may be available if the race is not full, so your best bet is to register online now. You must register online to be guaranteed a shirt. Once online registration closes, interested participants may register but are not guaranteed a shirt. Long-sleeve t-shirts are unisex. Sizes tend to run small and may experience shrinkage, consider your shirt size as there will be no exchanges. XS, Small, Medium, Large, XL (2XL upon request). Course Map: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/46408550 Race start is on the Fort Raleigh parking lot. Course will take you north through the woods of Roanoke Island, returning on our beautiful bike path. Race finish is on The Lost Colony parking lot.
On-course Hydration & Medical Services: Water station at mid-point of the course.
Awards: Top 3 Males and Top 3 Females
Age Group Awards
Packet Pick-up: Friday 10/11/13 from 4:00-7:00pm at the Food For Thought building which is located in Manteo across from The Front Porch Cafe. If space remains, registration will be available at packet pick-up. You may also pick up your packet the morning of the race on-site from 7:00-730am. If space remains, there may be late registration, but you are not guaranteed a shirt.
Post-race Hospitality: The post race party includes refreshments. There will be a raffle during the awards ceremony, but you must be present to win. No alcohol is permitted in the Park.
Parking: On-site at Fort Raleigh National Historic Site.
Refunds/Transfers/Inclement Weather: This is a charity race and there will be no refunds or transfers. The race will be held rain or shine, unless prohibited by Park officials due to unsafe weather conditions (ex. lightning).
