Event Information

Did you say BEACH OBSTACLE COURSE??? Come and have an awesome adventure on the beach! Spice up your OBX summer vacation and Storm the Beach! All races will be held on Sunday. Distances: - .75 Mile Fun Run (which means it will not be timed) - 3 Miler - 5 Miler Wave Starts every 10 minutes: The entire team needs to be on the Start line at your assigned wave start. You must Start and Finish with your entire team for accurate time. There is no I in Team! Your assigned wave number will be emailed to you prior to race day. Your race bib will also have this information on it. How Many Obstacles? What Kind of Obstacles? The number of obstacles depends on which race you sign up for. 5 Milers will have the most and .75 Milers will have very few. You will climb over/under things, you will get sandy you may even get wet (no swimming for the 3 Milers and .75 Milers. But you will get in the water!). TEAMS: Teams consist of 2 - 20 members. Family Teams welcome! Ages 5 and up can participate! Click here for info on age/race requirements. WHAT TO WEAR: A Costume! If not going for the costume then wear a t-shirt and shorts. You will be climbing and jumping and crawling and make sure there are no wardrobe malfunctions. (there will be a photographer there!) Don't wear anything that you are afraid to damage, tear, stain, stretch. Shoes should definitely be worn. Gloves perhaps, but they will probably get wet and soggy. SUNSCREEN IS A MUST! WHAT TO BRING: A sense of humor! Actually, a beach towel, change of clothes, some flip flops, sunglasses for later. There will not be a bag check available so either have your crew/friend hold your stuff or leave it in your car/house. *OBSE is not responsible for any items left or "removed" from the event site. IS THERE AN AFTER PARTY? You Betcha! Beer,Beverage, Food, Awards, Fun, Sun (we hope the sun shines... no guarantees).
