Event Information

25th (Silver) Anniversary. Starts and ends at the field house on the Washington State University campus. Ultras welcome; ultra start time is 6 am. Course closes at 7 p.m. Sweatshirst and glass keepsakes for ultras finishing the course. Race is timed. Relay runners run one (or more) of the 10 legs. Six of the legs are over gravel or paved roads on the rolling hillsides of the Palouse. One leg is paved, long, steep downhill; one leg is gravel, long, steep uphill. Two legs are flat, paved road alongside the reservoir behind Lower Granite Dam on the Snake River. Relay teams start at 7:30 or 8:30. Relay teams run in one of five divisions--open, mixed, masters, seniors, all-women--and top team in each division gets a team trophy and ribbons to all members of the team. Runners in second thru fifth place teams in each division get ribbons. All runners get T-shirts. Possibly the last time this race will be staged.
