New 5K and 10K on the trails of Eagle Marsh – a great wildlife conservation site of the Little River Wetlands Project. LRWP.org
The two races start and finish at the Eagle Marsh barn off Engle Road. Turn in the lane on the south side of Engle.
The Race t-shirt will feature the image of the races’ namesake – the blue-spotted salamander, one of the many wetland species identified at Eagle Marsh.
Help inaugurate the use of the new trail bridge. Runners in the 10k division will be on a course tying together sections of Eagle Marsh which weren’t linked by trails prior to this fall.
The Eagle Marsh is saving habitat of migratory birds and wetland species of mammals, reptiles, amphibians and plants.
The Salamander Sprint Trail Runs are new races which are part of the Cowbell Trail Series runs of Veep Races which includes the Father’s Day Run 4 Trails, the Waterfall Trail Run and The HUFF.
