Apply Today for a Kids Run the Nation Grant
The Road Runners Club of America developed the Kids Run the Nation Fund in 2007 to assists organizations interested in implementing or currently hosting youth running programs. Small grants from the Kids Run the Nation Fund are awarded on an annual basis through an application and selection process.
“We are thrilled to announce that in 2010, the RRCA has been able to increase the total amount to grant from $5,000 to $10,000 due to strong fundraising support for the program,” explained Jean Knaack, RRCA executive director.
The RRCA will award small grants ranging from $500–$1,000 to ten or more organizations with the IRS 501(c)3 designation that host multi-week, youth running programs geared towards school-aged children. Schools or nonprofit organizations that provide an organized after-school running program are eligible to apply as well. The Kids Run the Nation Grants will not fund youth races or entry fees for competitive teams.
The deadline to apply for a Kids Run the Nation grant is October 1. Learn more about the Kids Run the Nation Fund, the grant criteria, and apply for a grant.
