Bid to Host 2012 RRCA Championship Events
The RRCA is accepting 2012 Regional and State Championship bids and 2013 National Championship bids for the 5 K, 10K, 10 Mile, Half Marathon (13.1 miles), Marathon (26.2 miles), and Ultra (any distance over 26.2 miles).
Since 1958, the RRCA has awarded championship events through a competitive bidding process at the National, Regional, and State level to RRCA member clubs and events. The goal of the RRCA Championship Event Series is to promote running as a competitive sport and to shine a spotlight on locally owned events. Through the Championship Event Series, the RRCA awards top performing runners in the open, masters (40+), grand masters (50+), and senior grand masters (60+) categories for both men and women.
Championship Bid Submission Deadlines:
- Regional Championship bid deadline for 2012 events is September 1, 2011
- State Championship bid deadline for 2012 events is October 31, 2011
- National Championship bid deadline for 2013 events is January 31, 2012. 2012 events have been selected.
