RRCA Announce 2012 National and Regional Championship Event Calendar
The RRCA Championship events is one of the oldest distance running traditions in the US, dating back to 1958 when the RRCA awarded their first championship designation. The goal of the RRCA Championship Event Series is to shine a spotlight on well-run events, and to promote the sport of running by recognizing the top performing runners in the Open, Masters (40+), Grand Masters (50+), and Senior Grand Masters (60+) categories for both men and women as RRCA Champions.
In 2011, the RRCA Championship Event Series included 170 races at the State, Regional and National level that attracted over 265,000 runners nationwide, making it the largest grassroots-organized, running event series in the US. RRCA National and Regional Championship Events receive sponsorship support from Gatorade as the Official Beverage of the series; FuelBelt as the Official Race Number Sponsor for the series; Ashworth Awards a the Official Award Provider for the series; Sports Authority as the Presenting Sponsor of the Series, and Coolmax.

Germantown Half Marathon – Germantown, TN - March 18, 2012
RRCA National 10 Mile Championship
Presidio 10 – San Francisco, CA - April 15, 2012
The event is produced by members of the Guardsman.
RRCA National 10K Championship
13th Annual Inside Out Sports Classic ½ Marathon and 10K – Cary, NC - May 20, 2012
This event is produced by the North Carolina Road Runners Club.
RRCA National 5K Championship
Woodstock 5K – Anniston, AL – August 4, 2012
This event is produced by the Anniston Runners Club.
