RRCA Member News: Mammoth Track Club
This Sunday (March 21) Mammoth Track Club athletes Deena Kastor and Alistair Cragg will be competing in the NYC Half Marathon. You can catch the race at the following link: http://www.universalsports.com/marathon/index.html. Race starts 7:30am local time in NYC.
Meb had to withdraw from the NYC Half Marathon due to missing some training last month, BUT… His recent workouts have gone exceedingly well according to sources close to the team. He is now back on track to try and win the double header, 2009 ING New York City Marathon and 2010 Boston Marathons!
Along with Meb, Ryan Hall is also running Boston (April 19) with aspirations of winning, his training is going well too. Look for both of them to possibly bring home a one-two finish for Mammoth!
Scott Bauhs is running in the World Cross Country Championships next weekend in Poland. It is going to be a mud bath over there, melting snow has softened the dirt and I bet a lot of runners will loose their shoes in the mess! You can follow that race here: http://www.iaaf.org/wxc10/index.html.
Deena Kastor will be running the Virgin London Marathon on April 25, look to watch that race on www.universalsports.com as well.
