RRCA Nonprofit Running Club Members in Ohio Encouraged to Apply for State Grant
Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray is pleased to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Community Small Grant Program, which will support nonprofit (501c3) organizations located in Ohio. Grants from $2,000 to $10,000 will be awarded for innovative projects that address local needs related to youth and families, the elderly, people with disabilities and others.
“This is an ideal opportunity for RRCA nonprofit running club members to request funding to support youth running programs or beginning running program designed to get people active,” explains Jean Knaack, RRCA Executive Director.
The Community Small Grant Program funds are generated primarily through legal settlements to which the Ohio Attorney General is a party. They have been used in the past for a variety of projects, such as community holiday meals for families who are homeless, adult day services for senior citizens, summer camping and mentoring programs for youth, and outdoor rehabilitation programs for people with disabilities.
