Blaine is a lifelong runner, member of many of the local clubs, a running coach, and race director for over a dozen races each year. He has raced at both the competitive and recreational level in distances as short as 1 mile and as long as 100 miles. He is familiar with every aspect of the running landscape from competitive and recreational running to organization and fundraising. His races have generated donations of over $40,000 to local and national nonprofits over the past 2 years. Blaine is an RRCA Certified Coach (2008) and an RRCA Certified Race Director (2013). As the RRCA State Representative for Maine from 2010-2017, Blaine became very familiar with the programs and services offered by the RRCA. Blaine was elected committee co-chair of the Brunswick Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee in Brunswick, Maine, which advocates and works towards improving the bicycle and pedestrian networks. Through this committee Blaine has gained experience working with the local government officials. Professionally, he is CTO of J.J. Fast Publishing where he manages weekly online classes and (currently) 68 websites for J.J. Fast.
