Mitchell Garner is very active with the Ann Arbor Track Club, where he has served as President since 2009 (Vice President from 2004 to 2008) and as a board member and executive committee member since 2004. He is a longstanding race committee member of two mid-sized, club-hosted road races in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the Burns Park Run and the Dexter-Ann Arbor Run. In 2008 Garner was elected RRCA Central Region Director and served two terms in that position. In 2010, he was appointed by the RRCA Board to serve as Chair of the RRCA American Distance Running Hall of Fame Selection Committee and continues to serve in that position. In 2012 he was elected RRCA Vice President and was reelected to a second term as Vice President in 2014. Mitch is a lifelong runner and a member of the Ann Arbor Track Club’s men’s masters 60+ team. His club team won the USATF men’s masters 60+ grand prix team national championship for four consecutive years, from 2011 to 2014. Currently he is an attorney and principal with the law firm of Allotta | Farley Co., L.P.A. He graduated cum laude from Yale University with a major in economics and also has a degree in political science, with honors, from the University of Paris. He received his Juris Doctor from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law.
