RRCA National Office Staff

The RRCA maintains a small administrative staff at the National Office that serves our members.

Executive Director - Jean Knaack 703-525-3890

Jean Knaack is the Executive Director of the Road Runners Club of America where she has served in the role since 2005, bringing over fifteen years of nonprofit management experience to the position. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay with a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Nutrition. She earned a Master's of Public Administration with a concentration in nonprofit management from George Mason University. She regularly counsels running club and event leaders around the country on various topics of importance to the running community.  (Read more)

Membership Manager - Michael Webb and 703-525-3890

Michael graduated from The Ohio State University in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Education and Sports Management. He earned his Master’s degree in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University in 2015. Michael is responsible for the day-to-day interactions with RRCA members. He counsels prospective members, manages all insurance inquiries, maintains the RRCA's nonprofit group exemption list with the IRS, and manages the annual renewal process for all members. He is a passionate lifetime Cleveland Cavaliers and Buckeye fan, attending games on a regular basis.

Youth and Coaching Programs Manager - Erica Gminski or  703-525-3890

Erica completed her Masters in Sports Industry Management at Georgetown University in 2014, and gained industry experience at a Washington, DC area sports nonprofit representing the charitable efforts of multiple professional sports teams. Erica earn her Bachelor’s degrees in Marketing Management and Spanish in 2005 from Virginia Tech. Since embracing the sport in her late 20s, she has completed numerous ultramarathons, marathons, half marathons, and 5ks. Erica is responsible for all things Kids Run the Nation and she handles the administrative side of the Level I and Level II Coaching Certification program.

Program Manager - Andy Smith  703-525-3890

Andy has a background in sports communications. He earned his master’s degree at Georgetown in 2009 in Communication, Culture and Technology and his undergraduate degree from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY in American Culture.  He is responsible for coordinating all activities related to RRCA programs including Championship events, Race Director Certification, Runner Friendly Community, National Running Awards, RUN@WORK Day, and much more.

Director of Coaching Education - Randy Accetta, PhD

Randy is an accomplished educator and runner that brings a wealth of experience to the RRCA coaching program. A former 2:19 marathoner who competed in the 1996 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials, Randy has a long history of coaching runners. A graduate of Wesleyan University (CT), Randy credits his fellow Wesleyan alumni as inspiring him.  Please refer to the RRCA Coaching Certification page about instructions for hosting courses or registering for a course.
