Tim started his running career the old fashioned way, by getting cut from the golf team in 9th grade. Too scared and skinny to play football, he made the best decision of his life – going out for cross country, a no-cut sport!
Pursuing running though HS and competitively in college, Tim assumed his running days were over after college and attempted to return to golf. Realizing that he missed the camaraderie, energy and endorphins that running provided, he returned to the sport in 2006. By pursuing his passion of helping people find their greatness, he has been a successful HS coach with 15 state champions, a passionate race director and a founding member of the Slow Old Goat Running Team. Serving in a variety of leadership positions with the Southern AZ Roadrunners since 2006, Tim is the immediate Past-President. A survivor of Stage IV Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2010, Tim enjoys getting people excited about their wellness journey. Lucky for him, his day job at Tucson Medical Center as Manager of Marketing, Advertising & Wellness allows him to do just that!
