Holly ran in high school from 1986-1988 with the Twin Falls Bruins track/cross-country team in Idaho. She ran in college and continued running local races after school while pursuing a health career. She became a personal trainer and a physical therapy technician. Holly moved to Boise, Idaho back in 2005 where she met her post collegiate coach, Mike Dilley. This coach and his team, Greater Boise Running, worked on a 2-year development program with Holly. She competed in smaller races, trained in visualization, and used a detailed training regimen focusing on Marathon development. Holly qualified for the Women’s Olympic Marathon Trials with a 2:46:34 in 2007 at St. George Marathon then ran in the Olympic Trials April 20, 2008 at the age of 38. She now works at Foothills Physical Therapy doing marketing and outreach. She has retired from competitive running but still does trail running and keeps involved with the community by volunteering to help with local runs. Holly is married to Tom Fleming and resides in Meridian with their dog Star.
