Northern Illinois State Rep - Doug Pitchford
Doug Pitchford has been running for about 15 years and has done most of the race distances, from 5k to 50k. He enjoys doing marathons and half marathons, and uses them as goals to pursue. He has been a member of the Alpine Runners of Lake Zurich since 2000, having joined them to train since his first marathon. He enjoys the experiences and friendships he has made and decided to give back to the club. He was the Gatorade coordinator (put out a minimum of 4 Gatorade/water stops every Saturday year round) for 6 years before becoming the club’s treasurer four years ago. He enjoys running and getting out with others who enjoy the freedom and exhilaration of running or jogging. He is honored and excited to be the RRCA State Representative for Illinois.
Southern Illinois State Rep - Erica Hunt
Erica began running at the age of 41 out of sheer embarrassment. As the owner of Complete Fitness, a women's fitness and weight loss center, she entered a triathlon and discovered she had very limited running skills. Always one to lead by example, running became her new challenge. Since then she has completed countless 5Ks, 10Ks, Half Marathons, Triathlons, and eleven Marathons, including 2 Boston Qualifiers. Erica now shares her love of running with beginning runners training for 5K and 10K races, and even inspired her (now Ironman) husband to pick up the sport. Erica has been married to Jay for 28 years; they are the proud parents of two amazing dogs, Charlie and Roscoe the Tripod. Jay and Erica are members of the Metro Milers Running Club based out of their community, Edwardsville, Illinois, just East of St. Louis. Next challenge...Ironman Arizona in November 2018!
