Chandra began running in high school in a suburb of Boston. Her cross country coach suggested that the best way to help her team would be at the finish line handing out popsicle sticks, and she’s been doing that ever since. She also still runs, and enjoys running and racing on trails, roads, and unplowed sidewalks. Chandra is a RRCA certified coach, and just two webinars away from being an RRCA certified race director. She enjoys being a middle of the pack finisher at races all over New England.
Chandra has served as the secretary, vice president, and now is the outgoing three term president of the Maine Track Club. She is co-race director of the Mid Winter Classic 10 Mile Road race with Maine State Rep Blaine Moore. She also directs a cross country 5K, and a one-mile race. She sits on the board of The Maine Marathon, the TD Beach to Beacon, and the Maine Running Hall of Fame, and sometimes does work for various timing and race companies, as well as an organization that helps make races more sustainable. She is training to be a disaster responder with the Red Cross. When not doing any of those things, Chandra is a digital marketing project manager.
