A native of Hopewell Junction, NY, Rachel has resided in Providence, RI since 2017. She began running as a sophomore in high school and went on to run collegiately at Cornell University where she earned a total of five DI All-American honors and set the Ivy League record in the 3,000m steeplechase. Since graduating, she has explored the world of road racing and found both success and enjoyment. Most notably, she qualified for the 2020 Olympic Marathon Trials and represented Team USA at the 2018 NACAC Cross Country Championships. In addition to pursuing personal running goals, Rachel has worked to grow the local running community by founding the Mavericks Track Club and hosting the Great Rhode Run Summer Running Challenge. Rachel currently works as a test engineer at an orthopedic research facility. She and her husband, John, enjoy spending time together outdoors through hiking, kayaking, and, of course, running.
