North Texas State Representative - Marcus Grunewald
Marcus has directed the Dallas Marathon (formerly known as the Dallas White Rock Marathon) since 2002, beginning as a volunteer in 1997. He is also involved in managing or directing several local races ranging from 5ks to 20ks. Marcus is a member of the Dallas Running Club, Dallas Dirt Runners, White Rock Running Co-op, and North Texas Trail Runners.
Marcus has completed over 30 marathons, one 50-miler, two 50k’s, and many other road and trail races of various distances. He is a RRCA certified coach and specializes in training newbies, emphasizing the importance of a balanced approach to running within each person’s lifestyle.
Marcus also handles elite athletes from Kenya, hosting in his home and acting as a Sherpa on race day.
Marcus enjoys volunteering and giving back to the sport of running, and appreciates every day that he is able to run.
South Texas State Representative - Lee Greb
Lee is a member of the Houston Striders Running Club and the Houston Area Road Runners Association (HARRA) since 2001. The past four years he has served on the Board of Directors of the Houston Striders. He has also served as a coach in the HARRA Sponsored Power in Motion (PIM) adult running clinic and currently is a coach in the Houston Strider Marathon Training Program (SMART). A native Houstonian, Lee graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and is an employee of Toshiba International Corp- Industrial Division for the past 33 years. He started running in 1997 and ran his first marathon in January 2000 and has completed 46 marathon or greater distance races (including ten 50K trail runs) since then. He got his RRCA Coaching Certification in 2006 and gets his coaching CEC’s along with a lot of practical running knowledge and experience at each and every one of the RRCA Conventions that he has attended.
Central Texas State Representative - Sharron Fisherman
Sharron is excited to join the Texas State Rep team following her recent move to Austin, Texas from Anchorage, Alaska. She lived in Anchorage for the last 12 years, having moved there from Houston, Texas where she lived for over 30 years and first started running. In Houston, she was an active member of the Houston Master’s Sports Association and a member of the highly coveted Houston marathon veterans group. For the last 9 years, she was the race director for the Anchorage Running Club’s Anchorage RunFest. Under her direction, the 2-day event, was awarded the 2016 RRCA Road Race of the Year. She also served on the Anchorage Running Club's board of directors for many years. She recently was the RRCA Alaska State Rep and just stepped down from that position because of her move. Sharron has run multiple marathons including London and Paris, a 50K ultra, numerous 5Ks, 10Ks and half marathons.
When not running in local races, she is always out there volunteering in some capacity. Sharron and her husband, who married after both running the Honolulu Marathon in 1996, enjoy spending time with their grandchildren in Texas and Hawaii.
