Lyn has been an avid runner, racer, and volunteer for 33 years since coming to the USA from my native England. She has lived mainly in the Pacific Northwest but is happy to call West Virginia my home now.
As a runner, Lyn is blessed to live in rural, “almost heaven” WV where she runs 25-30 miles a week accompanied by myriad wildlife. She also supports her ultrarunner husband by pacing him during 100-mile races. Currently, she belongs to two RRCA clubs: the West Virginia Mountain Trail Runners and Oregon Road Runners Club (ORRC).
As a racer, Lyn has lost count of how many 5k’s to ultras she has run. She has also lost count of how many t-shirts she has. As a volunteer, she is the former editor of ORRC’s Oregon Distance Runner. She was also on their Board of Directors for several years and has worked most every race volunteer position there is.
Lyn is newly retired from working in the legal field and healthcare administration, and apart from loving all the additional time to run, she is enjoying reading more, doing crossword puzzles, and chasing after my four dogs. And a cat.
