Coach Kristjana Cook

Kristjana Cook, MS, CPT, CSNC Kristjana holds a Master’s degree in Exercise Science and Human Performance from American Public University and is an American Council on Exercise (ACE) certified Personal Trainer, a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Sport Nutrition Coach, and a Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) distance running coach. She is currently the boys and girls head Cross Country coach and Distance Track coach at Annapolis Area Christian School. This past fell, she was selected as the IAAM Coach of the Year for Cross Country for her work with the girls team, after an undefeated season and a decisive Championship win! Her main research interests are in bone health and using exercise to promote longevity and a lifetime of sports engagement. Her Master’s thesis, on protecting bone health in female distance runners, was selected by the Dean for publication in the University archives, and she has published several articles on osteoporosis prevention and female athlete health. She is passionate about optimizing nutrition to heal the body, and teaching athletes of all ages how to move their bodies in the way they were designed to prevent injury and pain. Kristjana is a marathon runner, triathlete, and avid hiker. She lives in Severna Park with her husband and three teenaged sons.
