18th Annual Brew to Brew Relay Race a Success

KANSAS CITY, Missouri, April 2, 2012 - On Sunday April 1st over 4500 runners competed in the 18th Annual Brew to Brew Relay Race put on by the Kansas City Track Club. The course takes participants from the Boulevard Brewery in Kansas City, Missouri to the Free State Brewery in Lawrence, Kansas. Although the final numbers are still being compiled, the race has already raised over $51,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and over $5,000 for the Shriners"� Hospitals. The race consists of 10 legs totaling 44.3 miles. One hundred ultra runners competed in the solo competition. The remaining participants were a part of one of the 750 teams that compete in the event annually, changing runners at the end of each leg. Below are the results of this year"�s race.
