Spectatular weather greeted nearly 250 runners and walkers at the Ozone Spring Run, the RRCA LA State 10K Championship hosted by the 15th Street Flyers. The race was held at St. Paul's School campus in Covington and the course wound itself from around the school campus, out into the neighborhood, and then back onto the campus with an exciting finish on the school track. Pat Gavin, of Louisiana Running, set a new 10K course record with an impressive 32:51. The Northshore's own Rachel Booth won the overall female division. This race also served as a qualifier for the upcoming Crescent City Classic 10K. Seventeen men and two women qualified for a coveted, seeded bib and were greeted at the finish line by Eric Stuart, CCC10K Race Director. Race participants and volunteers were treated to refreshments courtesy of Blue Runner Red Beans along with plenty of bottled water.
