RRCA Extends Deadline for 2021 RunPro Camp Applications to June 16

05/27/2021

Interactive camp to be hosted in Arlington, Virginia, July 15-17, provides tools and resources for recent post-collegiate runners to pursue a professional running career.

2020 LogoArlington, VA - RunPro Camp, designed to help educate and inform distance runners interested in pursuing a professional running career after college, is extending the deadline for applications until June 16. This extension gives potential applicants the opportunity to complete their college eligibility at the NCAA Track & Field Outdoor Championships ahead of the final deadline.

After a one-year hiatus, the 2021 RunPro Camp will be held in person this year with enhanced and carefully planned COVID-19 safety protocols and procedures. The 2021 RunPro Camp will be held July 15-17 in Arlington, Virginia.

Runners who will complete their NCAA eligibility by June 30, 2021, along with runners who have completed eligibility within the last 24-months, are encouraged to apply.  Applicants must be US citizens or athletes that reside in the US and have submitted form N-400 to the USCIS. The application can be found at http://www.runpro.com/information.  The deadline to apply is May 31.

The camp is a companion to www.RunPro.com, a website designed to inform promising distance runners on making the transition from collegiate to professional running. The goal of the RunPro Camp is to encourage, support, and provide the tools to educate post-collegiate runners so they can pursue a professional running career on the roads, track, trails, or Cross Country.

RunPro Camp provides opportunities for runners to meet coaches, agents, athletes from professional training centers, and elite athlete coordinators. Athletes will learn about seeking sponsorship, how to manage finances as an athlete, anti-doping compliance, and the various USATF rules governing professional running.

RRCA will provide travel and lodging assistance to qualified runners. The RRCA anticipates supporting up to 20 athletes for the two-day 2021 RunPro Camp.
